PetSmart Charities’ Adoption Weekend Aims to Find Families for 15,000 Pets
863 PetSmart stores and 3,400 adoption agencies partner in 32-hour effort to unite homeless pets with families
PHOENIX – (Sept. 1, 2006) - PetSmart Charities seeks homes for as many as 15,000 abandoned and homeless pets during its National Fall Adoption Weekend. Adoptable cats and dogs will be available at every PetSmart store from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15 and Saturday, Sept. 16, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17.
Each customer who adopts a pet will receive a new pet and parent guide with information and coupons that include a free small bag of advanced nutrition food to aid in a healthy start with their new family member.
