Hi everyone! My name is Pharaoh and I am a very handsome young guy. I am an affectionate and lovable dog. I love being petted and having my head scratched. I will press my big ole Rottie head into you for more scritches and scratches. I have a pretty easy going and laid back personality. I love to relax in the shade outside in the yard. I love to take leisurely walks, mellow strolls really. I even walk well on leash, no pulling. It's more enjoyable for everyone, I think. I lounge like an expert on my dog bed. Right now, I am unsure of strangers, but I am in a force-free, positive reinforcement training program and I am making great progress. My new adopting family will get a free training session, so they can continue my learning. I am a smart boy. I enjoy training and it's such a great bonding experience. I hope someone will give me a chance. I am a good boy who needs a loving home. Apply today! Adoption fee: $80. Adopt a pair: $120. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, 30 days of free pet insurance, one session with a certified behavior trainer and microchip. Shop our Amazon Cats & Kittens Charity Wish List Shop our Amazon Dogs & Puppies Charity Wish List NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of dogs is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Why is labeling a dog such a big deal? A label will stick with a dog for the rest of its life. A label can mean discrimination, losing its home or even death. Labels are a problem for the dogs when we, as the local experts on animals, allow adopters, politicians and community members to think that the label we assign can predict who that dog is or will be. Examples: Identify these mixed breed dogs (pdf) Now, compare these canine DNA results with the survey responses to see that dog breeds cannot be visually identified, not even by the experts. Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pharaoh, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
