My story

Spirit came to us from another shelter, and spent some time in foster learning proper manners and getting acquainted with people. Now Spirit is ready to find her fur-ever home with that special someone!ABOUT SPIRIT:-At shelter-Adult, domestic shorthair, female-Spirit loves to play at night, taking advantage of free reign of the house. -She loves to come out of her cubby to explore. -Spirit is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans.-Some skittish cats may remain reserved, while others may express their trust and affection in a variety of ways. Spirit accepts pets with a back-scratcher, and sometimes by hand.-Spirit has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat but is not transmissible to humans or other species.-Spirit is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and has received core vaccinations.SPIRIT`S IDEAL HOME:-Spirit enjoys the company of other cats, which helps her gain confidence, and would do best with a feline friend.-Spirit does not require medication but vet checkups twice a year are recommended.-Cats who have FIV can live just as long as other cats if they are properly cared for with a good diet, an indoor home, and a loving family.-A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children.-Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Spirit settle into her new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Spirit with a successful transition to her forever home.Are you in the giving spirit?
