My story

Meet Ellie – The Sweet, Snuggly Shepherd-Hound Mix with a Voice Like No Other Hi there! I’m Ellie, a Shepherd/Hound mix with the face of a shepherd and the voice of a classic hound dog. My foster mom thought I was all shepherd—until I let out my first bay! Turns out, I’ve got a little southern soul in me, and I’m not afraid to sing about it. I’m a sweet, energetic girl who’s still learning the ropes of puppyhood. I love playing with other dogs and would really thrive in a home with a canine buddy to wrestle and run with. I’m also great with people of all sizes—as long as the kids are sturdy enough to handle some joyful zoomies and tail wags. I currently live with both cats and dogs, and I think they’re all pretty cool! I’m working hard on crate training, house training, and learning basic commands in my foster home. I’ve got brains and heart, but I also have a bit of that classic hound independence, so I’d love a patient adopter who will keep helping me grow. I can be a little shy at first, but once I trust you, I’m all about the snuggles and sweet cuddles. I just want a family who understands that I’m still a pup figuring it all out—and who’s ready for some fun, some training, and a whole lot of love.
