My story

Diva is a cute,petite chocolate Miniature schnauzer. She was surrendered by a breeder so she has had a few litters but is now spayed and has had her teeth cleaned as well as some extractions. She is barely 4 years old and weighs 9 pounds. She has a very sweet, spunky, kind temperament. She is initially shy but opens up and gets and gets quite outgoing as she gets to know you. She is not had a lot of socialization but is not aggressive at all. She just needs to get out of the house and meet people so she can become a healthier dog mentally. Her experiences have been very limited up to this point in her life. She may need a little help with potty training although she is used to being crated and is very good in her crate. Schnauzers are very smart and she should be easy to train. She has not had a lot of time on a leash but we are working on that. She seems to get along with everybody she meets human and dog alike. If you have ever had a miniature schnauzer, you know their undeniable devotion to their owners. They are some of the most loyal dogs and will be at your side as well as be your best friend. Diva is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Diva's adoption fee is $450 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair every dog and family for a successful and happy life.
