My story

Name: Daisy Age: 3 yrs Breed: Pit mix Weight: 45lbs Crate trained: Yes Potty trained: Yes Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes Spayed: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Microchipped: Yes Heartworm: Negative Energy level: Low, plays with foster brother well. Daisy is a snuggly love bug and just wants to be with her people (and maybe a nice blanket).  She's good natured and walks outside on a leash VERY well (better than her foster brother).  She only tugs a little at the neighborhood squirrels.  She is easily corrected with a voice command or distraction but she can get scared if she thinks someone is raising their voice at her.  She did not like her crate at all when she first came to stay with us but now goes right in with a treat and a "crate" command.  We're working on no jumping when she greets you and we're almost there, this is really only because she wants to kiss your face:) She's so excited when you get home that she tap dances with her little feet trying to wait patiently until you pet her and give her hugs. Wherever she roamed before being rescued she didn't eat very much so she will counter surf looking for scraps but again is easily corrected.  She also ate a corn cob if you can believe it so whoever walks her or plays with her in the backyard, will have to watch what she gets into, she's scrappy.  She doesn't chew but inhales her food.  Daisy signals that she has to go outside with a gentle whine and tap dancing, she goes out and does her business and is right back in the house but she does like long walks, too, as long as she's with her pack.  She's a little insecure at night on walks and stays right by her foster brother for safety, she woofs when he woofs.  She's such a good dog that she sits and waits patiently while he does his business or while you pick up a mess. Daisy is very smart and makes eye contact all the time to check in with her people.  She will be very easy to train.  Daisy would be a terrific low energy couch potato for someone who may like a lazy companion especially if they need her to have quick trips outside for potty but in her current household she's a pack member in a very busy house with 5 people and a great dane coming and going at all hours and she's adjusted just fine.  We think she would do very well with a doggy sibling or all by herself.  She's been in her crate, no messes, for up to 5 hours so far.  She's a terrific dog that was severely neglected and has been through a lot, you can tell from the scars on her cute little face.  Daisy could use a furever home with lots of love and snuggling.
