My story

Izzy is a 5‑year‑old shepherd mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She can be reactive when meeting new people, especially men, but once she knows you, she’s loyal, playful, and full of affection. Izzy loves her trusted people deeply and thrives in a predictable environment where she can feel secure. She’s looking for an adults‑only home that doesn’t have too many frequent visitors. When guests do come over, Izzy does best with slow introductions or time to settle in another room first. She’s not a fan of cats and is selective about her dog friends. She prefers small dogs and will need to meet any potential canine companions here at the shelter to ensure they are a good fit. Izzy has been waiting almost two years for her forever home. She’s more than ready to find someone patient and understanding who will give her the structure, consistency, and love she deserves.
