My story

Hi my name is Georgina. I`m a Female adult cat, 5 years old. I am currently residing at Lakeland Animal Shelter. A very nice place where the volunteers and staff are very kind to me.I was surrendered in December of 2024 right before Christmas. My humans lost their home and I was given up. I`ve had to stay in a cage by myself, because I don`t get along with other cats. I know I`m getting depressed, I just sit in my cage and watch other kittens get adopted, while I`m just passed by. Adopters don`t even look my way so I just curl up and try to fall back to sleep again.I`m very quiet, but I do enjoy when someone takes the time to talk to me and maybe give me a treat. Sometimes I`ll venture out of the cage, but I`m leary and I`m still a little scared. I don`t mind being pet on the head. I might like a lot more if someone would give me a chance by adopting me.If someone wanted a single established older cat, I`m the one. I may take time to adjust to a new person and home. I`m just being honest it may take longer than another cat. I`ve been through a lot but patience and perseverance could make me the cat you`ve always wanted. Please give me a try. It would be so much better than this cage I`m in. I invite you to come to take a look at me. I`m not bad looking, I use the litter box well, and I would keep you company.I so wish for this chance. This letter is my opportunity to find a forever home. Couldn`t someone make this happen?
