My story

Meet Thelma, a 10-year-old gentle soul who’s embracing her golden years with grace, charm, and a whole lot of love to give. Currently living in a foster home, Thelma has perfected the art of relaxation—she’s the calm, slower-paced queen of the couch who moves with quiet intention and loves a soft spot to snooze the day away.House-trained and well-mannered, Thelma knows all the classics: sit, stay, shake, and down. She takes a daily joint supplement in the morning to keep her feeling her best, but otherwise, she’s a low-maintenance sweetheart who just wants affection and comfort. Though she arrived at the shelter with her bestie Louise, they’re not bonded and can be adopted separately if the right homes come along. Thelma’s hoping her next adventure leads her straight to a forever home (no getaway car needed!). While there may not be a wild road trip in her future, Thelma cruises through life at her own sweet pace and would love nothing more than a cozy spot and someone to love her. If you`re looking for a loyal, mellow companion to share quiet moments and cozy nights, Thelma can’t wait to meet you and be your perfect couch buddy.Thelma would love to meet any potential canine siblings! Our staff will carefully handle all dog-to-dog introductions at the shelter to ensure a great match.
