My story

Meet Nigel! Nigel is a 6 year old miniature poodle mix who was saved from a commercial breeding facility in Lancaster County. Nigel was given up because he was no longer profitable as a breeder dog. Nigel is doing a great job learning to trust new people and get used to life outside the puppy mill! He loves the companionship of other dogs, and is starting to show more and more of his sweet personality every day! As with all dogs we save from puppy mills, they will need a family who is understanding and prepared to work through a period of transition with them as they learn to live in a house and around people. They will need time to trust their new family before working on training, such as house training. We require all our animals to be trained using positive reinforcement methods ONLY.
