My story

I`m Thor a fit and gorgeous 107 pound two-and-a-half-year-old playful, happy and fun Great Pyrenees and perhaps Labrador mix pup. I am funny and smart too, know ‘sit, shake and stay’ and I’m learning even more manners. Part of me feels like a lap dog despite my size because I have the playfulness and heart of a puppy. I love belly rubs and squeaky toys. I am people selective but know right away if I feel safe and trust with someone. I am always ready to lean in for a cuddle or a sloppy kiss once I know you. I am especially good at making the people around me smile! I want someone to take me home who will socialize with me, provide daily exercise, and mental stimulation as these activities will benefit both of us. I have a thick white double coat that I hope you will brush often as I am a most handsome boy. My breed is generally good with children and familiar animals showing patience and calmness, but I am dog selective and less tolerant of unfamiliar dogs. I have had fun playing with a few dogs here at the shelter, but you’ll want to chat with my care team about a ‘meet and greet’ with a dog you already have at home.I can develop more skills with consistent coaching from an alpha teacher. I dream of one day living somewhere with room to roam and a family that can provide consistent care, trusting interactions and a sense of purpose. Since I am a young dog, I am strong on a leash and need someone who can teach me about restraint, self-control and what is expected of me.
