DOB 04-2024 We've had Julius since he was about 10 days old. He and his family were abandoned when someone moved. His original fosters didn't do a good job socializing him and his siblings. They kept them in the garage. Since he moved to a new foster, Julius has come a long way - he loves to rub on us, and we can pet him, but he doesn't like being picked up. He loves the other foster cats, even the cranky ones. If you have a cat that is lonely, Julius would be a great companion after a proper introduction. Julius is handsome, uses litter box like a champ, playful, loves other cats and he does fine with our small dog, playful and food motivated. He will need a quiet home without small bouncy children. He will blossom in a home with other cats. PLEASE READ: Adoption fee $100 for adult (over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). All cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), tested for FIV/FELV, microchipped, have received age-appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and worms. We are not first come, first serve. We try to match our kitties with the purrfect home. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all-volunteer organization. All our kitties are in foster care. We ask that you be patient with us as we connect you to the foster to set up a meet and greet. Most of our kittens are placed in bonded pairs. One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why the cat experts always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise to hear this, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats while also making your life easier. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes, we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Julius, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
