My story

Say Hello to Bijou! Bijou is a 7-month-old bundle of joy—playful, curious, and full of affection! He loves playing with other dogs, thrives on adventure, and is always up for a cuddle. Bijou is still learning to walk nicely on a leash, but with a little practice, he’s sure to become your favorite walking buddy. His Story Bijou and his seven siblings were born to a sweet mama dog in a home where pets weren’t welcome. The landlord threatened eviction unless the dogs were removed—but thankfully, our amazing rescue partners at SOS el Arca Animal Rescue stepped in just in time. His mom has since found a loving home in Connecticut, and now it’s Bijou’s turn! Headed to NY in July! Bijou has the chance to travel to New York this July, but he needs a foster, foster-to-adopt, or adopter lined up before he can make the trip. Friendly & Social Bijou is great with kids, gets along with other dogs and cats, and is always excited to meet new people. He’s affectionate, goofy, and brings joy wherever he goes—he’ll fit into just about any household. Training for Success We ask that adopters enroll Bijou in a puppy group training class. It’s a fun, effective way to help him grow into a confident, well-mannered adult dog.
