My story

This sweet and spirited pup is looking for a second chance at the right match! Recently returned due to a change in her adopter’s schedule, Scally Wags is a medium-energy girl who’s crate trained, food-motivated, and loves her chew toys. She’s friendly, eager to please, and already knows some basic cues like sit, down, and stay! She’s still working on her leash manners and while she can be barky around new people or other animals but she responds well to treats and routine. She's looking for someone willing to work with her and share continued positive reinforcement - she’s a loving, playful companion who’s ready to learn. Scally Wags would thrive as the only pet in a home with adults who can give her structure, patience, and lots of snuggles. I dropped a few treats in her kennel to which she ate. I opened the kennel door to leash her but she began to leash dodge. I used treats to get her used to the leash and then once she was comfortable I was able to leash her with no issues. She then hopped right out of her kennel. Leash: minimal pulling Handling: in the room Scally wags remained very loose and wiggly with me. She showed off her tricks as she knows sit but can be a bit snatchy with treats. She allowed all over handling however it seemed as her back end may have been in a little discomfort as when I pet her back end she lowered it down and would turn. (Not aggressively) just as a discomfort turn. She still remained loose and wiggly with me. She jumped in my lap and allowed all handling. She solicited pets from me. Going back to kennel I had no issues as she jumped right in.
