My story

Hi, I’m Max, a 4-year-old Goldendoodle boy who weighs 46 pounds.  I have lots of energy and love romping in my yard, but my favorite past time is being close to my humans.  I’m smart and curious, but I don’t trust just anybody. I’m looking for a patient family who is willing to work with me on house manners and confidence.  I promise to reward you with a lifetime of love and loyalty! General Behavior: Max is an athletic and energetic pup who loves to play but likes to know his humans are nearby.  He is smart and food-motivated which helps with training. Likes & Dislikes: Max is a great example of the "velcro" Golden side of a Goldendoodle!  He loves to be close to his favorite human.  He also loves to play and enjoys toys of every kind, the more the better.  He is anxious when left alone and can be reactive with strangers, especially men. Training: Max will need additional training with house manners like refraining from jumping up on people he likes and barking at things he doesn’t like.  He is house-trained when let out regularly.  Medical: Max is a healthy boy and just needs his heartworm and flea/tick preventive medicines like any pup. Other Animals: Max will likely do best as an only dog, preferring not to compete with other dogs for his humans’ attention.  He doesn’t do well with cats. Children: Max needs an adult-only home or a family with older (ages 12 and up), dog-savvy kids. Home: Max’s fur-ever family will need to be sure doors aren’t left open in the home, as he has attempted to run outside. A single-family home with a fenced yard would best fit his energy level. He can safely be left alone in the home for short periods (3-4 hours) in a secure area of the home. Grooming: Like all Goldendoodles, Max will need regular grooming to look and feel his best. This ongoing cost is something that all adopters should take into consideration.  Overall: If you are looking for an affectionate, playful pup who will love you with his whole heart, Max may be the one for you. Are you the one for Max? Then visit our website at www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption donation is $400. ##2404729##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Max, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
