My story

Meet Pierre! Pierre is a 2 year old Bichon Frise/Poodle mix who came to us as a stray. Pierre was originally found by GoodBoy Dog Recovery who helped expertly bring Pierre to safety, and then into our rescue, where he received the medical attention that he needed. Pierre originally was found covered in painful matted fur and scared in Philadelphia. He is curious about people but still is very nervous, and is slowly learning how to trust. He will show signs of fear aggression if pushed, so he will require a patient, adult only family who can give him the time he needs to decompress and build trust. Our friends at Goodboy Dog Recovery said it best: If you’re looking for a sweet little companion with a big heart and you’re willing to go at his pace, Pierre may just be your perfect match! As with all rescue dogs, they will need a family who is understanding and prepared to work through a period of transition with them as they learns to live in a house and around people. We require all our animals to be trained using positive reinforcement methods only.
