My story

This green eyed, tabby beauty has raised her 4 babes & is ready for a new home. She is a chatty gal & will talk to you regularly. She can be opinionated & may need some time to adjust to new people & new surroundings, as her foster mom doesn’t think she had a lot of positive attention prior to being relinquished to the humane society. Tube treats & food are definitely the way to her heart. She is playful & will probably flourish in a new home away from her babes. She has been an excellent momma, but has been rather protective of the kittens. Astrid has been exposed to dogs (golden retrievers) & had no problems with them. She may be fine around dogs that are respectful of her space. She loves to bird watch out the window. She is also litter box trained, but her foster encourages the adopter to get a high sided box, as she is a bit messy! Astrid would probably do better in a home without small children, or older children that will respect her space. She should be an indoor kitty only. She was not exposed to the resident cat in her foster home.If you are interested in meeting this sweet girl we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an adoption application.
