My story

Make way, make way! Please allow us to introduce you to the gorgeous, the enchanting, and the unequivocal: Hera of Bideawee. Appropriately named after the Greek Queen of the Gods, Hera is truly as beautiful and fortuitous as her namesake. She was one of the survivors of the Happy Cat Sanctuary fire tragedy, and although she bravely escaped, unfortunately, she did not come out unscathed. This poor girl suffered a significant injury on her front arm, which required immediate treatment and investigation. Sadly, her injuries were too extensive for routine care to fully resolve, and required specialty surgery, which Bideawee was able to arrange for her. To save her life, her front arm needed to be amputated; a heartbreaking, but necessary decision. Despite one herculean obstacle after another, Hera's personality has never faltered, and if anything, she has only become sweeter as she continues to heal. Just as beautiful today as always, Hera boasts a gorgeous calico coat, wise green eyes, and a loving demeanor. However, true to her namesake, she is not to be trifled with and may become spicy if you overstep, so she'd be best in a gentle, loving home with older children. Hera has been around cats for many moons, so she should be able to live with gentle, friendly kitties in her future home. Please consider adopting this strong and incredible kitty today! Hera is at our Westhampton Adoption Center, head in to meet them and see if you are a match! We are a same-day adoption center, and an application does not put you on a list or hold an animal for you. We are open Tuesday-Sunday 11am-4pm. Prior to adoption, all of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and given their age appropriate shots.
