I’ll try not to break your heart when you come to meet me. You see, I have been through a lot of change, instability, and trauma lately, and I wasn’t feeling my best when I arrived at Wayside. It has just been a stressful and confusing time for me, that’s all. Still, my joyful spirit comes shining through with just a little time and patience. So much about life makes me blissfully happy. Please don’t feel sad for me. I’m all about living for today and becoming part of a family again. That sounds so nice. I hope you feel the same.I’m an adorable, almost 8-year-old, 102-pound sweetheart, with a beautiful Hound face, gentle eyes, and a lovely personality. I’m even already fully housebroken. I came to Wayside when my previous owners lost their home. We had been together since I was a wee puppy, and I have led a life full of love. I miss them. Still, I need to put my loneliness aside as I carry on. That’s what they want for me. I felt sort of achy when I got here. I had a benign fatty lump removed and I’ve been focusing on my health as I work on losing weight. I hope you will help me with that. Measured, nutritious meals and plenty of daily exercise will help to keep me looking and feeling my best. My previous family said that I was a wonderful companion! I was well behaved in the house, even when no one was home. I successfully lived with men, women, kids, cats, and other dogs. I had so much fun splashing around in the water! It took me extra time to warm up to strangers. I liked to use my hound voice at times when I noticed new people outside or for various other reasons. Back in the day, I was able to climb a chain-link fence, which I would sometimes do when I got bored. I can’t do those things anymore, and I’m somewhat of an easygoing couch potato these days, but
