My story

Goldfinger may have the name of a Bond villain, but the only thing he will be guilty of is stealing your heart. This handsome man is the total package of beauty and brains. He’s doing well with learning basic commands like “sit”, “lay down”, and “leave it” and he’s housebroken. The kennel is not his favorite place to be and he’s very vocal about being in it. He walks well on a leash and enjoys chasing the neighborhood bunnies and squirrels. He loves all toys, enjoys the comfort of dog beds, and is very food motivated.  Goldfinger is very friendly, he thinks everything and everyone is a play toy for him. He does well meeting other dogs but is very excitable at first and takes a few minutes to calm down. Goldfinger has been introduced to cats and would do best in a home without a cat or with a very canine savvy cat. He is not aggressive with the resident cat, but true to his border collie breed he has laser focus on the cat and continually focuses on herding the cat throughout the house.  Speaking of herding, Goldfinger is a working man. He needs a job and would likely add herding small children to his daily to-do list. His foster home does not have small children and at times he’s herded the cat and adults.  Goldfinger will make the best Colorado adventure buddy. His high energy level means he’ll always be the leader when hiking. He rides well in the car making him a great road trip companion. Goldfinger is looking for a forever home that will include him on all adventures and challenge him to master new skills. Goldfinger is a 1-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $500 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Goldfinger is also tested with other dogs, cats, children, and potty and kennel trained. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
