My story

Meet Maple – as sweet as her name! Maple is truly one of the kindest, most gentle souls you’ll ever meet. This soft-eyed girl is the full package—great with adults, kids, dogs, and even cats. Her mellow, easygoing nature makes her a dream on leash, and she’ll sit at your feet with perfect posture if there’s even a whisper of a treat involved. Maple is polite and respectful with other dogs but isn’t afraid to break out a zoomie or a friendly wrestle if her playmate is feeling frisky too. She’s the kind of dog who just wants to be near her person—whether that means curling up quietly nearby or pressing in for one of her signature full-body contact cuddles (which, in her opinion, should be available at all times). She came to us from the Haywood County Shelter after being found abandoned and underweight. The amazing folks there helped her regain her health, and now she’s ready to find the kind of home that will never let her down again. Maple is quiet-natured and thrives in a home where her calm energy is understood and appreciated.
