My story

*Come meet me this Saturday (07.19.25) at the Fort Collins PetSmart from 10am-2pm! This event is first come, first served so we recommend arriving early if you have a specific furry friend in mind! This event operates on a number system so upon arrival make sure to get your number and we will call numbers up in groups! Please note in order to receive a number you need to be an approved adopter within the last 3 months. We will have paper applications available at the event as well as our application via our website! We hope to see you there! :)* Hi! They call me Ptero. I came to Animal Friends Alliance lookig for my best life with my 4 brothers when we were 11 weeks old. I am unique because I am polydactyl. That means that I have more than the usual number of toes on my feet! I am always looking for attention from my foster mom. I am a little shy when strangers come to meet me so it is best to be patient with me. I do love to sit in the big comfy chair for pets. I purr loudly! I love to chase the feather wand, play with fleece ropes, soft balls, kicker toys, and the turbo chaser. I can hold my own in any wrestling match. While I am very comfortable with my family, if other cats or dogs are already part of your family, I would need a slow introduction to them. Contact the shelter to meet me and hear my story.
