My story

I wanted to introduce you to a very special pair of cats, Figaro and Jersey Boy, who are truly brothers from another mother. Figaro came into my care as a tiny one-day-old kitten, found still in his placenta. A wonderful citizen rescued him and got him through the night before bringing him to me. While Figaro was a bottle baby for his first few weeks, we were fortunate to find a nursing mother, Mama Rita, who took him in with her own kittens. That's where Jersey Boy comes in—he was one of Mama Rita's babies, and he and Figaro connected instantly. They have since become an extremely bonded pair. Figaro's birthday is March 22nd, and Jersey Boy's is estimated to be around March 27th, making them very close in age. They adore playing with each other and can entertain themselves, and you, for hours. Beyond their playful nature, they are incredibly sweet and love to cuddle. If you're looking for two boys who truly just want to be by your side, sleeping on your neck or chest, and whose purr motors never stop, these are definitely the cats for you. They have been raised in a home with both dogs and other cats and adapt very well to diverse environments. They love all their cat toys and enjoy racing up and down their cat trees. When they're not romping and rolling through the house, you can usually find them sleeping together or basking in sunbeams. They really are such a hoot\! At first glance, you might think they're just two typical black cats. However, while Figaro is a solid black cat, Jersey Boy is actually a lighter color black with subtle tabby stripes, which is quite a rare and unique marking for a black cat. So, in a way, you'd be getting a "unicorn" with this pair\! If you feel you can provide a loving and entertaining home for these two wonderful boys, please fill out an application.
