My story

Meet Vicki – Your New Snuggle Buddy! Say hello to Vicki (a.k.a. “Bicky-Bicky” to her closest friends)! This 6-year-old, 11-pound senior dog is the total package of cute, cuddly, and playful. With her fluffy coat, expressive eyes, and love for lap time, she’s sure to steal your heart – once she gets to know you! Vicki is a lap-loving sweetheart who just needs a little time and patience to warm up, especially with new people. She can be a bit more hesitant around men, but with gentleness and trust, she opens up and her loyal personality shines through. Vicki very active and enjoys her playtime – especially with squeaky stuffed animal toys (she will play rough with them), which are her absolute favorite! Vicki previously lived with another small dog whom she got along with. She is dog-selective, so careful introductions with other pups are a must. Sometimes she clicks, sometimes she doesn’t – she’s got her own opinions, and she’s not afraid to share them. If you have another canine family member, please bring them to the shelter to meet Vicki and make sure she is a good fit for your pack! Vicki is still working on her potty training, so she’ll need a patient home that can provide regular potty breaks and support her progress. She`s also quite vocal, and will bark when left alone – she`s a little dog with a big voice who wants to be heard! Her previous owner’s favorite thing about her? Her cuddly nature. When Vicki trusts you, there’s nothing she loves more than curling up close and soaking in the love. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly, and spirited little companion who just needs someone to believe in her, Vicki (Bicky-Bicky!) might be your perfect match. This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the “shelter information” box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
