My story

Enzo is the kind of dog who, once he lets you in, will love you with his whole heart. His journey hasn’t been easy—he came from a place where he was left outside in the cold, neglected, and forgotten. But despite everything, Enzo never lost his ability to love. The night he was rescued and brought to Mikaela’s Mutt Motel was the first time he truly felt safe, and in just one night, he transformed. His name was chosen because one of its meanings is “to blossom”—and that’s exactly what he did. Now, Enzo is a dog bursting with life, affection, and personality. He adores being around his people and wants nothing more than to be by your side. Whether he’s leaning into you for head scratches, bouncing around with excitement when he sees his favorite rope toy, or gently nudging you for extra pets, he makes it clear—he loves with everything he has. He takes a little time to trust new people, but once he does, you are his world. Enzo is incredibly smart and eager to please. He’s already learned commands like “sit,” and since he’s very food motivated, he’s ready to learn so much more. He doesn’t bark much, he’s mostly house-trained, and he listens well. But don’t mistake his good manners for low energy—this boy is full of life! He loves to jump, run, and play, showing off his strength and agility every chance he gets. He’s goofy, affectionate, and sometimes forgets his size, happily plopping himself into your lap like he’s a tiny puppy. And if you let him, he’ll cover you in kisses to show just how much he adores you. Enzo is a truly special soul. He has been through so much yet holds no grudges—only love and excitement for the future. He’s looking for a family who will see him for the incredible dog he is, someone who will cherish him the way he will cherish them.
