To adopt this cat from Black Cat Rescue, please fill out a profile https://blackcatrescue.com/adopt-cat-boston Hennessy is a 6 year old spayed female cat up to date on vaccines. Here’s what her foster human says about her: How would you describe the cat's general personality? Hennessy is the queen of the castle. She has a big personality and likes to get her way. She’s cute and silly and crazy. Does the cat enjoy being pet? If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet? She enjoys being pet all over her back, especially the soft spot by her butt. She also really loves head scratches and ear scratches. She’ll take belly scratches too sometimes but they’re not her favorite. Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? Not that I can tell so far. She will tell you when she is done being pet. Does the cat come on your lap? Yes, she often likes to be near me or on me Does the cat like to be held? Yes, sometimes she likes to be held, but not for very long unusually Does the cat sleep in your bed? She always comes to bed with me, but once I turn off the lights, she may or may not stay. She’ll sleep at the foot of the bed or at the top of the bed. Does the cat seek your attention? Yes, she does. She loves attention. Does the cat like to play? Yeah, she loves to play with ones and catnip toys and balls and scratchers and lasers. How vocal is the cat? She’s not that vocal, but she will meow at me when I talk to her What kinds of sounds does the cat make? Just little meows here and there Does the cat scratch a scratcher? Yes, she does. She loves the cardboard scratchers. Does the cat always use the litter box? Yes, she does. She’s a little messy with the litter box getting litter everywhere so a high sided litter box is suggested. What food and frequency is the cat currently eating? She is eating twice a day once in the afternoon once in the evening. Is the cat picky about food? She is not very picky. She seems to like various kinds of hard food and soft food. What is the cat's favorite treat? She loves temptations. She won’t eat the dental treats. Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? I don’t recall her ever swatting at me. Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? She’s never scratched me other than just gently during play. Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? She’s never nipped at me or made an indication towards doing so. To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? I think she is a little hesitant of new people, but if they give off a good vibe, then she warms up to you very quickly. She seems to be a very social cat, but she doesn’t seem to like other cats that well. Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions? Like I said, she is a queen and Will take a little time to warm up to other cats. In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? Hennessy is the softest and snuggliest cat I’ve ever had. Anyone looking for a cat that wants to be by you and cuddle would love to have Hennessy in their life. She loves her human. What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them? Hennessy still doesn’t understand the word no and will need some work with discipline. She also isn’t that friendly with other cats and is working on those behaviors, but she’s getting better at it with time.
