My story

🌟 Meet Topaz 🌟 Topaz is full of heart and ready to give it all to her person. This darling 8-year-old Shepherd mix spent the last six years in a home, and while her previous owner could no longer give her the attention she craves, Topaz is more than ready to soak up love in a new forever home. She’s a relaxed, affectionate companion with excellent house manners and 100% potty training—not a single accident in her foster home. She’s crate-savvy, though she'd much rather be out and about with her people, curled up next to you on the couch or in bed. Topaz is happiest when she’s close to her humans and loves to go for walks. On walks, she gets a little vocal—barking at squirrels, dogs, or passersby—but it’s all excitement, never aggression. Her enthusiasm also shows up at the door; she can be a bit bouncy and will jump or push if she sees something interesting outside. Doors that don’t open easily are a plus! She’s been great with familiar dogs and polite with new ones, and she’s even cat-curious—though a swat from her foster cat helped her learn boundaries fast. She shouldn't be around toddlers, as she doesn’t enjoy loud or sudden movements, but she does enjoy older kids who understand how to give her space. Her happy tail wags and gentle nudges show just how much she appreciates calm, respectful attention. Her foster describes her as “a very easy foster” and “a good girl who just wants to be loved.” 🧸 Likes: Snuggling, toys, neighborhood walks, being your shadow 🚫 Dislikes: Loud environments, toddlers, being left out of the fun 🏡 Ideal Home: A calm, loving environment with adults or older children, where she can be someone’s constant, devoted companion ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
