QUICK FACTS · Name: Nova · Age: 7 months · Gender: Female (Neutered/Spayed) · Breed: Jindo-Shiba Mix · Color: Brown and White · Weight: 10 kg / 22 lb Fully Vaccinated, Microchipped, and Dewormed. MY RESCUE STORY I was on the euthanasia list at the Pyeongtaek City Shelter, but I was rescued just in time. Now I’m safe and ready to find a loving forever home. MY HEALTH Completed 3rd vaccination MY PERSONALITY I’m stunning in person with very soft fur. I love playing with toys. I need some basic home training. I still have a very young, puppy-like personality. I’m considered a Level 3 rescue dog. MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy at first, but I’ll take a treat if offered. I only allow petting once I get a bit more comfortable. I haven’t had experience with children under 13. You can lift me by placing your arms under my belly. · With Dogs: I’m very social, so I like to approach and play with not only dogs I know but also new dogs I meet. I’m generally friendly toward dogs that are similar in size to me. I often rely on other dogs for comfort, so I feel more secure when there’s another dog around. · With Cats: I haven’t been observed around cats, so it’s unclear how I would react to them. ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a high energy level, so I need plenty of outdoor activity before I can settle down calmly. I tend to pull on the leash, but I generally follow my person well. Since I don’t have much walking experience yet, I may flatten myself to the ground if I encounter something scary. TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs. I rarely bark and stay calm when in a kennel. I’m comfortable going to the bathroom both on indoor pads and outdoors. MY IDEAL HOME I would thrive in a patient and loving home that can provide gentle guidance and basic training. A family that enjoys playtime and can give me plenty of mental and physical stimulation would be ideal. Since I’m still very young and puppy-like, I’d do well in a home with another friendly dog to help me feel secure and confident. A household that can give me time to adjust and lots of positive reinforcement will help me grow into a happy, well-rounded dog. SPECIAL NOTES I lived in a raised cage for a long time; my toes are spread out like a fan. I spent my early days in a shelter kennel, so I still have a little caution around people. If someone reaches out to touch me, I might hesitate or take a step back, but I quickly warm up and allow petting and cuddles. I get along well with other dogs, and I would likely adjust even faster in a home that already has another dog rather than being the only pet.
