You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.JYNX hails from the Northern Community of Cat Lake and came south with her brother, Spooky, to find her loving forever home. She’s received her first and second sets of puppy vaccines, a microchip, dewormer, Simparica Trio (flea, tick & dewormer) and been deemed a healthy girl by her vet. Her breeds and the size she’ll grow to be are just an educated guess based on what she looks like as we have no info on either of her parents. This ball of energy is as gentle and loving as she is active. She loves to be active and is constantly looking for things to get into and keep her busy. She’s very outgoing and adventurous and loves to play with the 2 dogs in her foster home. She does have a quiet side that loves people and is very snuggly and extremely loving. JYNX is crate trained and sleeps quietly in it at night and will nap in it during the day too. House training is still a work in progress but for the most part, she does go outside. She’s just started to go on walks and she’s a quick learner with leash walking and she’s also learning that she can go to the bathroom while out on a walk too. She has good manners and will sit for her meals and take her treats “gentle.” She’s a very fast eater though and she does use a slow feeder and we recommend that she continue to use one when she goes to her new home. JYNX’s ideal family would be a very active one whom loves to go on hikes and walks in the woods. She does well in a vehicle so will always be up for a drive and especially if it leads to an adventure for her. She would best suit a home with another dog as she’s fostered with two large dogs and she’s constantly playing and chasing around with them. We do recommend that the current dog in the home be a calm one as they’ll help to keep her energy level down. She also has several cats and she always wants to chase them to entice them to play with her. For the most part they just run away from her and want nothing to do with her as they’re not fans of her puppy energy. Children should be experienced with a dog in the home and be aged 6yrs and up plus be loving, kind and gentle towards animals. She does require a fenced-in yard so she can be kept safe while she has a run around and play. When JYNX was found in her community she had a broken front left leg. She didn’t require surgery but it was splinted and she was kept on crate rest. Her vet was satisfied with how the leg healed and we do have the X-rays of it to send to her new family’s vet clinic. She’ll no doubt end up with arthritis in that leg when she’s older but please discuss that with your vet prior to adoption. Puppies are cute, playful and fun but also require a lot of time, patience and dedication to training. We do need her adopter to be in agreement to take her for puppy/obedience training to help her to become the best girl possible. Her spay is included in her adoption fee and her potential adopter must be in agreement to have her spayed by the time she’s 6 months of age. The surgery will be at the Barrie SPCA but you can use your own vet and we’ll reimburse you what we would’ve paid for it there. In order for the rescue to do so we need the spay requirements to still be followed plus a copy of the procedure invoice and a picture of her (preferably in her onsie or cone) in order to do the reimbursement. We do post the picture on our fb page along with other pets that were “fixed” in the same week. If JYNX and her energy sound like they’d suit your family and lifestyle then please submit an adoption application to meet her.
