My story

Jack is a delightful puppy eagerly awaiting his forever home. This charming boy enjoys being wherever you are and is currently mastering the art of navigating the stairs. His little snores will melt your heart! His playful nature is evident in his fondness for squeaky toys, ropes, and bones, which also help him during his teething phase. He's shown respectful behavior towards my senior cat and is quickly learning boundaries with my personal dog. His sweet and polite demeanor is complemented by his responsiveness to food-motivated training, responding to his name, and his ability to be easily redirected. Jack has two modes: sleepy and not at all sleepy. He prefers to sleep on you or next to, you if you'll allow it. Although Jack doesn't require another dog in the home, he has enjoyed interacting and playing with my personal dog. I think it has also helped him to have another dog who can wear him out a little bit. Jack is crate trained. He doesn't love it and initially barks and whines, but settles down within 5 minutes and then does very well. The longest he has been in the crate was ~5 hours and he did great with no accidents! Jack can currently walk all the way upstairs, but hasn't figured out going down yet. I keep a baby gate at stair 6 right now and he can go up and down, but any higher than that and he simply freezes. If he's too scared to go down, he will sit and whine until you pick him up and carry him.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jack, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
