My story

Meet Papi, a sweet little gentleman with a big heart and excellent manners at 11 years young and 20 lbs, this Rat Terrier mix is the definition of easy living. Papi loves people just the right amount—happy to hang out, happy to snooze nearby, and especially happy to cuddle when it’s bedtime. He’s a champion sleeper who will gladly match your sleep-in schedule. Papi is generally a laid-back guy, but don’t let that fool you—walks and car rides are his JAM. He gets adorably excited when it’s time to head out, then settles into a nice, relaxed stroll (even easier when he’s walking solo). At home, he’s a total potty-training rockstar, uses the doggie door like a pro, and allows all handling with zero fuss. He’s lived peacefully with other dogs and mostly ignores them on walks, though cats are a no-thank-you for Papi. Toys are still a mystery to him, but he’s curious about crinkly ones and might discover his playful side with a little encouragement. Papi would thrive in a calm, loving home where he can enjoy daily walks, cozy cuddles, and all the love he so clearly deserves.
