Rocco

My story

Rocco is a very energetic dog that loves to play fetch. He would benefit from daily walks/runs and a large yard to play in. He’s UTD on his shots and is in great health, has no signs of hip dysplasia or other conditions associated with his breed. He does have anxiety in the car, mainly because he’s so excited, and takes trazadone prior to vet visits. He does live with another dog, but unsure how he is around unfamiliar dogs. He does have some guarding and possessiveness issues regarding food/toys- we manage this with gates in our home to separate our dogs while eating and keep him away from young children while food/toys are out. He does not enjoy snuggles but he does like to be brushed, and his back scratched. We want him to go to a home that would benefit him the most, and would do best in a home without small children due to his hyperactivity and toy/food guarding. Please consider giving him a chance. We’d be happy to do a trial run weekend or week to see if he’s a good fit for you.
