My story

Moon came into the rescue with 3 siblings because their owners were no longer able to care for them. She is a purebred, white, miniature poodle. Moon is the one of the sweetest and shyest of the group. She gets along with most other dogs and seems to like everyone. She loves attention. She has probably never lived as an only dog but we would consider giving it a try. She is learning leash manners and is doing well. She would not do well in an apartment as going potty while on leash is probably a ways off into her future. She is very sweet, smart and very willing and eager to please. Moon is approximately 2 years old and weighs about 14 lbs She is very good to bathe, brush and groom. Like many rescue dogs, we’re not sure how well housetrained Moon is. However, with gentle guidance, consistency, structure, and praise, she should be easy to train. Moon is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will require professional grooming every 6–8 weeks. Adoption Fee: $450 This fee includes at least one health exam with our veterinarian while in our care, spay/neuter, all vaccinations (including rabies, as age-appropriate), a pre-adoption professional grooming, and a microchip with lifetime registration at no additional cost. Dogs also leave with a new collar and/or harness, leash, and a gift bag that includes, among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble currently fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also help us rescue the next homeless or unwanted dog in need.
