My story

Ritz is a sweet, goofy, boy who enjoys the simple things in life. After being rescued from years of neglect, all he wants is a comfy place to curl up next to his people. At the Sanctuary, he prides himself as a professional mattress tester and seeks out the fluffiest bed he can find, waiting for any passersby to join him. Ritz is not like other dogs… in more ways than one! He was born with some differences, including hip dysplasia and suspected cerebellar hypoplasia, that makes the way he moves unique. After receiving the hip surgery he so desperately needed and continuing with physical therapy, Ritz has made more progress than we ever imagined possible. He'll always have his own way of getting around, but that doesn’t stop him from living life to the fullest! Ritz knows exactly what he wants in a forever home: belly rubs, attention, treats, and a soft bed (duh). He’s housebroken and would do best in an adult-only home or one with older, respectful children. Ritz *truly* believes he’s the star of the show, so he’d prefer to be your one and only dog – but trust us, he’s all you’ll ever need.
