My story

Pio is an incredibly affectionate dog. He is very friendly and loving toward people who show him kindness and affection. He can jump into the car by himself, does not get carsick, and is comfortable even on long journeys. He eats well, enjoys walks, and will become a wonderful life partner for his family. Pio was rescued when he was less than 10 days old. There were repeated reports about stray dogs in the area, and sadly, Pio lost his mother at a very young age. He and his siblings, Jio and Dio, were captured and brought to a fire station. Although he had to grow up without his mother and was raised with bottle feeding, Pio grew into a healthy, brave, and wonderful dog without any health problems. Neck circumference (collar): 31 cm (12.2 inch) Chest circumference (harness): 50 cm (19.7 inch) Height (to top of head): 50 cm (19.7 inch) Body length (nose to base of tail): 65 cm (26 inch) Recommended crate size: Vari Kennel 350 (32 x 22.5 x 24 inch) Good with women: yes Good with men: yes Good with kids: yes older children recommended Good with other dogs: yes Good with cats: no, he has chased stray cats before, so a cat-free home is recommended House trained: yes, he is well trained for both indoor (pee pad) and outdoor potty. He thrives on a schedule and prefers to go outside immediately after eating. Crate trained: yes, Pio feels very comfortable resting in his crate when he is scared, sleepy, or tired. He handles long-distance travel very well. Energy level: medium in the home, medium/high during exercise and outdoor play Can be handled/touched: yes Barker: no, Pio is not completely silent, but he is not a constant barker either. He mainly barks to alert his family when someone arrives or when he hears an unusual sound. Food Aggressive: no Current Food: Pio is not picky with food. He currently eats Acana Free-Run Duck or soft food. Walks on leash: yes, when excited, Pio may pull on the leash, but most of the time he walks happily beside his person. Leash reactive to people or dogs: no, when he sees another dog during walks, he may try to approach quickly, but when told "No," he gives up quickly and listens well Rides well in cars: yes, Pio is excellent in the car! He has been riding in cars frequently since he was a puppy and can handle long-distance trips without problems. He usually rides in a car seat. Destructive: no, Pio only destroys his own toys Needs a home with a yard: a yard would be wonderful, but it is not necessary Needs a home with another dog: no Can live in an apartment: yes, Pio has already lived comfortably in a small Korean apartment. Apartment life is not a problem for him. Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.
