My story

Meet Leo! 🐾 Leo is a handsome Cattle Dog x Retriever mix who is still learning what it means to be someone’s beloved companion. He was recently surrendered to us when his family realized they simply didn’t have the time they felt he deserved. And honestly, we think Leo deserves that chance, too—a family who will invest in him, give him patience, and show him just how wonderful life can be. Leo is a little nervous at first. He has always been an outside dog and unfortunately missed out on some of the early socialization and experiences that are so important for young dogs. But underneath that uncertainty is an absolute sweetheart. Once he realizes he’s safe, Leo soaks up every ounce of attention he can get. He loves being loved, and you can almost see him starting to discover how nice it is to have someone focus on him. Leo has been around other dogs and has done well. He also does well with cats and children, making him a pretty versatile guy for the right family. He may need a little time and patience as he adjusts to life indoors and learns all the things he should have had the opportunity to learn earlier, but we have no doubt he has so much potential. Leo doesn't need someone looking for a perfect, finished dog. He needs someone willing to invest in him, build his confidence, and give him the consistency and affection he's been missing. In return, we think you'll get a loyal, loving companion who will be incredibly grateful to finally have a family of his own. ❤️ Leo is ready for someone to show him that his best days are still ahead of him.
