Hi, my name is Raven! I’m 6 years old, short and stocky, and weigh around 55 lbs., though I look smaller than that. I’m a black Staffordshire Terrier with white markings and a few scars that hint at a rough life before rescue. I’m crate trained, potty trained, and do well with people & kids but I’m not sure how I feel about sharing my person and home with other dogs. I’m open to the discussion, but I can’t make any promises. I’ll be honest…cats really aren’t my thing. Dog doors? Also, not my thing. I’m far too fancy. I currently live at Sky Sanctuary Rescue, friends of the Be Like Josh Foundation, and I’m fully healed from spinal cord surgery after completing rehab. I’m doing amazing and absolutely loving life. I’m known for being a little sassy with a great sense of humor, so you’re welcome in advance. I’m also a forever foundation dog, because I’m just that special. I’m fully vetted, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. I’ve had an MRI, X-rays, and a full neurological workup. I have two wheelchairs, which I use when I’m tired or want longer walks, but around the house and yard I get around just fine on my own. I need a little help getting into the car, but once I’m in, I ride like a dream. I love people, kids, vets, vet techs, everyone. If you’re willing to pet me, I LOVE to be touched. I’m very mellow and quiet at home, happiest lounging in my crate or playing with my toys (my favorite activity ever). I’d prefer a home without other dogs so I can have my personal space. I think I could peacefully coexist with calm, respectful dogs but I would need my handler to be experienced at managing that dynamic. I’m not aggressive and don’t bark, growl, or lunge…I just value my space. Think “COVID rules”: six feet, please. Because of my neurological condition, I need frequent potty breaks and may occasionally leak a little urine. I’m not incontinent—it’s more of a minor quirk that comes with my condition (yes, I’ve tried Kegels). It’s just part of who I am, and I promise I more than make up for it with charm and wit. If you think Will might be the perfect addition to your family, please submit an adoption application at skysanctuaryrescue.org/applications. Once we receive your application, we'd be happy to answer any questions and arrange a meet and greet with this incredible girl!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Raven, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
