My story

Reef is a three-year-old neutered male Great Dane with a striking merle coat and a handsome presence to match. Now in the care of Big Hearts for Big Breeds, this boy is looking for a forever home that understands his needs and can provide the right environment for him to thrive. Reef is kennel trained, potty trained, and leash trained, and he rides well in the car. He has a wonderful foundation of good manners and is ready for a family that will continue to provide consistency, structure, and plenty of love. Reef is looking for a very specific canine setup. He is not a match for cats, small dogs, or male dogs. He would be perfectly happy as the only dog in the home, or he may do well with one large-breed female dog with a thoughtful introduction and appropriate supervision. He would also do best with older children, ages 14 and up. Finding the right match is especially important for Reef, and we believe there is a family out there who will appreciate exactly what makes him special.
