My story

This is an incredibly difficult decision for our family, but we are looking for the right home for our sweet dog, Copper. Copper is an older dog who is extremely loving, affectionate, and cuddly. He loves being close to his people and deserves a home where he can get all the love and attention he wants.After unexpectedly welcoming a baby into our family, we’ve realized that our home is no longer the best environment for Copper. He does not do well with young children or cats, and he has attempted to nip at our now 2-year-old. Because of this, we have to keep them separated for everyone’s safety, which unfortunately means Copper isn't getting the attention and companionship he deserves.We are hoping to find Copper a quiet, loving, child-free and cat-free home, preferably with someone who understands older dogs and wants a loyal companion to cuddle with. This is not about simply giving him away, we want to make sure he goes to someone who will truly love him and care for him.
