QUICK FACTS Name: Sonyeo Age: 2 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Mini Jindo mix Color: Brown Weight: 9kg / 19.8lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city pound where I had sadly been placed on the euthanasia list due to a lack of space. With limited time and an uncertain future ahead of me, I desperately needed someone to give me a second chance. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in before it was too late and brought me to safety. Those uncertain days are behind me now. I’ve been given another chance at life, and I’m ready to make the most of it. All I’m missing is a forever family who will cherish me, keep me safe, and make sure I never have to wonder where I belong again   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY My name means “Girl” in Korean, which suits my sweet, sensitive, and gentle personality perfectly. I can be a little shy at first, but I promise I’m worth the wait. At the city pound, I was so frightened that I would hide in the corner facing the wall and sometimes freeze in place. I simply needed time to understand that I was safe. I later spent three months in foster care, where I adjusted well and showed just how much I can blossom in a loving home. I may sometimes walk away from pets, but don’t mistake that for a lack of love. Whenever my foster family came home, I was often the first one waiting at the door to greet them! I also get along wonderfully with other dogs and feel comfortable around my canine friends. All I need is a patient family who will give me time to come out of my shell. Once I do, you’ll discover the sweet and affectionate girl underneath.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when we first meet and need some time to warm up before I’m ready to accept pets. Treats are a great way to help me feel more comfortable, and I’ll happily take them gently from your hand. Once I feel safe, I’m comfortable being picked up and am very gentle when being handled. I just need a little patience in the beginning so I can get to know you at my own pace. · With Dogs: I’m incredibly friendly with other dogs and love meeting new canine friends! I enjoy greeting and playing with them, and I generally feel most comfortable with dogs around my size. My dog friends are also an important source of comfort and confidence for me. When I’m feeling unsure, I often look to them for reassurance and emotional support. Because of this, I would do especially well in a home with a calm, confident dog sibling who can help me feel safe as I adjust to my new life. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk nicely on leash and follow my handler’s lead well, making me an easy walking companion. I also have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I’m a quiet girl who rarely barks, and I already know how to settle down and rest calmly in my kennel. For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. With a consistent routine in my forever home, I should continue adjusting nicely.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout while I come out of my shell • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding of my initial shy nature • Ideally, a home with another confident dog sibling, but not an absolute requirement   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a sensitive and gentle girl who just needs a little patience before showing you my true personality. New people and unfamiliar environments can make me nervous at first, but I’ve already shown how beautifully I can adjust when I’m given the time and space to feel safe. I even spent three months in foster care and settled into home life wonderfully. My dog friends are a big source of comfort for me.
