My story

Rosie is a shepherd mix with the sweetest soul and the most captivating amber eyes. They're the kind of eyes that seem to look right into your heart. Unlike her outgoing brother Little Rocky, Rosie is a little more reserved. She likes to take her time getting comfortable in new situations, but once she knows she's safe, her affectionate personality shines through. She'd much rather be right by your side soaking up one-on-one cuddle time than be the center of attention with the other dogs. While she enjoys playing with her foster siblings, people are definitely her favorite. Rosie has an adorable quirk that always gets a laugh. When something startles her-especially meeting a large dog for the first time-she doesn't bark...she lets out the funniest little scream! It's her dramatic way of saying, "Whoa, that's a little much for me!" Once she realizes everything is okay, she settles down and does just fine. Despite being a little timid herself, Rosie has a special gift. She's been an incredible helper with other shy foster dogs. Her gentle play style and calm, sweet nature have helped several nervous newcomers gain confidence and learn to trust. She has a way of making other dogs feel safe. Rosie came to the County Animal Shelter with her brother, Little Rocky. The shelter became overcrowded and needed to make space and she and her brother were able to be rescued. She's spent the last couple of months learning what it's like to be loved in a foster home, and now she's ready to find a family of her own. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion who would rather curl up beside you than be the life of the party, Rosie is ready to steal your heart.
