My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Sori Age: About 11 Months Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo – Terrier Mix Color: Brown and Black Weight: 15kg / 33lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was very close to spending my days tied to a short line, watching over a quiet field. That small patch of land could have been my whole world from the very beginning. I wouldn’t have known that there could be anything beyond it. But before that became my forever, I was brought out and given a chance at a different life. Now I’m learning what it means to move freely and feel safe. There’s a whole world I’m just starting to discover—and I’m ready to share it with someone by my side.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed& healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Sori. I'm an incrediblly intelligent girl who picks up new things very quickly. I pay close attention to the world around me, and with someone who understands me and provides clear, consistent guidance, I have so much potential to keep learning.  Once I’m comfortable, there’s another side of me that comes out—I’m playful, goofy, and full of personality. I love squeaky toys and chasing a ball around the backyard, but I’m equally happy stretching out in the sunshine and enjoying a peaceful afternoon outside. At home, I know how to enjoy my downtime. I’ll happily nap on the couch or settle by a window and watch the world go by. I don’t experience separation anxiety and am comfortable spending time home alone. At night, I sleep in my family’s room and usually sleep peacefully through the night. I’m a dog who needs the right environment to bring out my best qualities. I can be selective about who I feel comfortable with, and I’m not suited to a busy household with lots of different people or animals coming and going. I’ll thrive with someone who respects my boundaries, understands my needs, and is willing to continue working with me. With the right person and a predictable routine, I can settle into being the clever, playful, wonderfully goofy companion I’m meant to be.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a naturally affectionate dog who loves being close to people. However, I can be selective about the people I feel safe and comfortable around. I am more comfortable being around women than men or children, so I prefer an adult home where these interactions can be avoided and my boundaries can be respected. I would do best with a single adult who can give me a quiet, predictable environment and allow trust to develop at my own pace. · With Dogs: I can be a bit selective with dog friends as well. While I love meeting new dogs, I can be unpredictable at times. I would do best as the only dog at home.  · With Cats: I have prey drive and I may chase cats, birds, and other small animals. I will do best in a home without other small pets.    ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have high energy level – I have a lively, energetic spirit and truly enjoy spending time outdoors—it helps me feel balanced and ready to settle in afterward. One of my favorite things is being outside in the yard, whether I’m chasing a ball, playing with my toys, or simply lying in the sunshine. On walks, I can get excited and follow my own curiosity, sometimes pulling in the direction I’d like to explore. I’m still building my experience, but I naturally stay connected and respond well to gentle guidance, growing more comfortable and steadier with each outing.   TRAINING & HABITS I have a gentle, easygoing nature and feel comfortable sharing my space, even around food. I do not prefer being in the kennel and I may softly whine at first to communicate it I’m also adaptable with my routine, doing well with both indoor pads and outdoor bathroom breaks, but I do prefer outdoor potty breaks.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever A family with someone who can build a strong, consistent relationship with me A family with no other dogs or small animals A family who is experienced with dogs and understands prey drive, leash reactivity, and the importance of management A family who is willing to continue positive, consistent training A family who understands my boundaries and won't force interactions that make me uncomfortable A family who can give me stability, patience, structure, and lots of opportunities to enjoy being my playful, goofy self    SPECIAL NOTES I am more comfortable with women than other children or men. Because of my high prey drive and unpredictable reactions toward other dogs, careful management outdoors will be important. I should remain securely leashed in public and should not be brought to off-leash dog parks or expected to socialize freely with unfamiliar dogs. My future adopter should be prepared to continue working with me on leash skills and safe management around my triggers.    SORI'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2860377##
