My story

Aspen is not the kind of dog who will run up to you and ask for cuddles the moment you meet. Around new people and unfamiliar environments, he can be a little slow to warm up and naturally cautious. He needs some time to observe, feel comfortable, and make sure he’s safe. He can also be selective with other dogs. He doesn’t get along with every dog he meets, but the funny thing is, once he feels comfortable and finds a dog he connects with, he absolutely loves to play. He just needs a little time — time to get to know you, time to trust you, and time to slowly show you the sweet, playful side of himself. He is just waiting for someone who will respect his pace, give him the sense of safety he needs, and patiently walk alongside him as he learns to open his heart.
