My story

Pily is an extremely loyal and loving companion who bonds deeply with her people and will quickly become your most devoted best friend. While Pily is a polite girl around strangers, she can become easily overwhelmed in crowded or fast-paced situations. She is still learning how to navigate big feelings, so she thrives when her personal space is respected. She just needs a little time and a slow introduction to get to know someone before you let your guard down. With a patient adopter who can advocate for her space, Pily will reward you with a lifetime of fierce loyalty and affection. Pily is the definition of a velcro dog. She learns commands very quickly and she has made amazing progress with obedience as well as loose leash walking. She knows commands such as; "place", "sit", "stay", "wait", "heel", "down", "middle", "touch", and just about anything else you want to teach her. Being so intelligent, structure and giving her a "job" is an absolute must. Pily's leash reactivity was a very big issue when she first came to Ontario; however, she's starting to learn that the world isn't out to get her. She has high energy levels and a high prey drive, needing both physical and metal exercise daily. There has been a lot of work on her focus skills and she has greatly improved. She is always alert and ready to defend the house from squirrels. She will form a very tight bond with her main people but may be best suited for a home with adults only or older kids who are dog savvy.
