QUICK FACTS Name: Ppangsil Age: 9 months old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Donggyeongi / Jindo mix Color: Black, Brown Weight:  9kg / 19.8lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a heartbreaking situation where my future was incredibly uncertain. My sibling Pongsil and I were living in terrible conditions, and we were about to be sold to a dog meat farmer. Our lives were at risk, and without someone stepping in, we might never have had the chance to experience the love and happiness every dog deserves. Thankfully, kind rescuers found us just in time and brought us to safety before we could be sold. Because of their compassion, Pongsil and I were given a second chance at life, and we no longer have to face such a frightening future. Those difficult days are finally behind me, and now I'm ready to begin a brand new chapter filled with love, comfort, and security. All I'm missing is a forever family who will cherish me, protect me, and show me what it truly means to be loved!   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY One of my cutest features is my little natural bobtail! Along with my adorable black muzzle, it gives me such a unique look. The volunteers and staff even think I might be a Donggyeongi mix, a rare native Korean breed known for its naturally short tail and Jindos-like appearance. It's heartbreaking to think that I was once at risk of being sold for dog meat. Despite everything I've been through, I haven't lost my gentle nature or my willingness to trust people. I can be a little shy when we first meet, but underneath that initial shyness is an incredibly sweet and friendly girl! I enjoy being around people and happily accept gentle pets and affection. I have such a soft, loving personality, and when I'm feeling happy and comfortable, I'll show you my most beautiful smile! All I need is a little patience and kindness to help my confidence grow. I have so much love to give, and I can't wait to share it with a family of my own!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a bit of time and I'll warm up to you quickly! Tasty treats are a great way to win me over, and I'll happily take them right from your hand. I also enjoy gentle pets and affection once I'm feeling comfortable. I'm a sweet and gentle girl who doesn't mind being picked up and held. Once I feel safe and relaxed around you, I'll even roll over and show you my belly! I may need a little encouragement at first, but it doesn't take long for my affectionate personality to shine through. · With Dogs: I'm a friendly and playful girl when it comes to other dogs! I enjoy greeting new doggy friends and love having the opportunity to play and socialize with them. I generally feel most comfortable with dogs around my size, and even when another dog gets a little too pushy, I prefer to keep the peace rather than get involved in any doggy drama. My dog friends also mean a lot to me because they provide a wonderful sense of comfort and reassurance. When I'm feeling a little unsure or shy, having familiar dogs around helps me feel more relaxed and confident. I would especially love having a friendly, confident dog sibling who can keep me company and help me feel secure as I settle into my new home! · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I may pull occasionally, but I generally follow my handler's lead well. I don't guard my food around people, although I can be sensitive when other dogs approach while I'm eating. I'm a quiet girl who rarely barks, settles calmly in my kennel, and goes potty both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. Having spent most of my life confined to a small cage, I'm still discovering the world around me. I'm curious and eager to learn, but new experiences may take some getting used to. With patience, encouragement, and gentle guidance, I have so much potential to grow into a happy, confident companion!   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding I’m still a young pup and will require continued socialization and training   SPECIAL NOTES I would do best with a patient, understanding family who can give me a little time to come out of my shell. I promise I'm worth the wait! Although I can be shy at first, I warm up quickly once I feel safe and comfortable. Despite everything I've been through, I'm still incredibly trusting of people and have such a sweet, gentle personality. Since I missed out on important socialization during my early months, I still have plenty to learn about the world. I'm especially cautious in unfamiliar environments, but I'm adaptable and gradually gain confidence with new experiences. The good news is that I'm still young and have so much potential! With patience, encouragement, and plenty of love, I'm sure I'll continue to blossom. And did I mention my beautiful smile?
