My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Pongsil Age: 9 months old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Donggyeongi / Jindo mix Color: Black, Brown Weight:  10 kg / 22 lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a heartbreaking situation where my future was incredibly uncertain. My sibling Ppangsil and I were living in terrible conditions, and we were about to be sold to a dog meat farmer. Our lives were at risk, and without someone stepping in, we might never have had the chance to experience the love and happiness every dog deserves. Thankfully, kind rescuers found us just in time and brought us to safety before we could be sold. Because of their compassion, Ppangsil and I were given a second chance at life, and we no longer have to face such a frightening future. Those difficult days are finally behind me, and now I'm ready to begin a brand new chapter filled with love, comfort, and security. All I'm missing is a forever family who will cherish me, protect me, and show me what it truly means to be loved!   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Believe it or not, I'm even cuter in person! The volunteers and staff always say that photos and videos simply don't do my beauty justice. I also have an adorable natural bobtail, just like my sibling Ppangsil, which makes me even more special! I can be a little shy when we first meet, but give me some time and I'll warm up to you quickly. I'm still a young pup with so much to discover, and my curiosity often gets the best of me! I love exploring my surroundings, sniffing around, and checking out everything that catches my attention. Although new experiences can feel a little intimidating at first, I'm eager to learn and become more confident as I discover the world around me!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm a friendly and affectionate girl who loves meeting new people! I enjoy greeting everyone I meet and am always happy to receive some attention and affection. I'm also comfortable being picked up and held, and I'll often roll over to show you my belly almost immediately! I have such a sweet, trusting personality and love making new human friends. · With Dogs: I'm definitely more of a people's pup! While I get along well with my dog friends at the care facility, I'm generally pretty independent when it comes to other dogs. I'm happy to be around them and coexist peacefully, but I usually prefer doing my own thing rather than constantly playing or socializing. My heart really belongs to people! I'd much rather spend my time soaking up affection, getting cuddles, and enjoying the company of my favourite humans. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is still unknown, as I haven't had the chance to interact with them directly. During walks, I sometimes notice cats and watch them with curiosity, but I quickly lose interest and happily continue on my way. While I haven't shown much interest in them so far, I would still need a proper introduction to see how I'd do living with a feline friend!   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I don't typically guard my food from people or other dogs, but I can be a little sensitive when other dogs get too close while I'm eating. I'm also protective of my toys when another dog tries to take them away, so I'd appreciate having my own space to enjoy my favourite things without being disturbed. I have good manners when it's time to settle down and know how to rest calmly in my kennel. I'm also familiar with going potty both indoors using pee pads and outdoors!   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding I’m a young pup and will need continued guidance and support   SPECIAL NOTES I haven't had much of a chance to experience what it's like to be a carefree puppy, as I've spent most of my life confined to a cage. Despite my difficult beginnings, I've remained incredibly trusting of people and curious about the world around me! I absolutely love human companionship and often follow the volunteers and staff around, hoping to spend a little extra time with them. I'm happiest when I get to be near my favourite people, whether we're exploring together or simply enjoying each other's company. I'm still young, a quick learner, and have so much potential! I would thrive with a patient, understanding family who will give me the freedom to explore, plenty of opportunities to run and play, and the chance to build a loving bond with them.
