Supporting pets and those who love them has always been the heart of our mission. In 2020, due to the economic impact of the pandemic, pets and their people needed our support more than ever. That is why we granted over $7 million in 2020 to support those impacted by the Covid-19 crisis.
As the economic impact of the pandemic continues, we are shifting our grant support to better meet the needs of the communities we serve. In 2021, food insecurity continues to rise at an alarming rate affecting millions of families, and consequently their pets. As a result, we have committed $10 million in food donations to support pets and people facing economic hardship and food insecurity by working with Feeding America. As we begin a long journey to recovery, our goal is to make the biggest impact in the lives of pets and people in need. To do so, we will continue adapting and evolving our grant programs.
