IMPORTANT!! ***(Sadie is a pair with Luna - PLEASE SEE LUNA'S BIO FOR INFORMATION ON HER) This adorable mother-daughter duo is looking for a forever home together!   This sweet pair came to Pathways after their owners were no longer able to care for them. They are doing wonderfully in their foster home and have quickly shown everyone just how special they are.  Luna and Sadie are a wonderful combination — one part sass, one part sweetness, and 100% love. If you're looking for a pair of girls who will keep you laughing, fill your home with love, and become your very best friends, Luna & Sadie may be the mother-daughter duo you've been waiting for! They will need a home with a secure, fenced-in yard where they can safely run and play.  No doggie doors, please! A home with a doggie door will only be considered if there is a secure, covered outdoor enclosure to protect them from potential predators while they are outside. Both girls can be a little unsure of new people in their space and may bark when someone they don't know arrives. Neither has shown any aggression, and both are learning that new people can mean good things — especially when treats are involved! They will need adopters who are willing to give them a little patience and time as they get comfortable. Because both girls can be cautious with new people, their family will need to understand that they may take a little time to warm up. Once they trust you, though, you'll have two very special girls by your side. Both dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.  Their adoption fee as a pair is $500.00. Sadie (daughter) — Sweet, Playful & Full of Potential! Sadie is 5-1/2 year old, 15 pound Bichon/Westie mix who is an absolute sweetheart with a gentle soul and a happy, playful personality. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, especially in her own space, and may bark at first. But give her a few treats, some gentle scratches, and a little time, and her curiosity quickly takes over.  Once Sadie feels comfortable, she is beginning to ask for affection all on her own — and it is pretty darn adorable! Sadie LOVES to play! Chewy toys, fetch, and the occasional game of tug-of-war are some of her favorite activities. She is wonderful with other dogs and enjoys being part of the action. She is gentle and respectful with the older dogs in her foster home and isn't possessive of her toys or food. Sadie also likes being near her people and may shed a few tears when left alone in her kennel. She is a people-loving girl who wants to know where her humans are!  Sadie walks nicely on a leash and did great on an outing to Home Depot. Her first car ride without the other dogs made her a little shaky, but she handled her adventure well. She just needs patience and encouragement as she continues building confidence in new situations. And this girl is SMART! Sadie is very treat-motivated, which should make training and learning new tricks lots of fun. She also has the cutest way of celebrating when she's excited — she'll sometimes stand up on her hind legs and give little “cheers” with her front paws! Sadie is easygoing about grooming, too. Her first haircut was a breeze, and although she will let you trim her nails, she needs a little encouragement and patience. Baths aren't a big deal either — although thankfully, she hardly ever needs one!
