Woody is a one-year-old, 55-pound, black Labrador Retriever mix who is 100% pure Lab puppy! He’s exuberant, enthusiastic, affectionate, and absolutely overflowing with energy. In other words, he’s a big, lovable wild child who is ready to trade kennel time for adventures, playtime, and learning how to be the very best boy he can be! Woody was originally found as a stray, and his finders cared for him for three months. Ultimately, they realized he was more dog than they could manage, so he found himself at the Maricopa County shelter. Unfortunately, Woody’s youthful enthusiasm and occasional leash mouthing landed him on the euthanasia list. But here at Home Fur Good, we see a sweet, friendly young dog with so much potential! Woody has never shown any aggression here. He walks nicely on his leash, knows how to sit, and is a smart boy who is eager to learn. When he’s spending time with people in a yard, his affectionate, friendly personality shines. He also previously lived with a two-year-old child and did well. Woody is looking for a family ready to help him channel all that puppy enthusiasm into great things! Regular exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent, positive-reinforcement training will be essential to his success. With guidance, patience, and plenty of opportunities to burn off energy, Woody will grow into an amazing family companion. He has been dog-friendly at Home Fur Good, too, and might enjoy having a canine playmate to share his adventures. Woody’s adoption fee is $250 and includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Please call 602-971-1334 to schedule an appointment to meet Woody. You can also visit Home Fur Good Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during our walk-in hours. Woody is ready to leave kennel life behind and start learning, playing, and growing with a family of his own. Give this lovable Labby boy a chance to show you what a great dog he can be!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Woody, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
