Debo Mukherjee is Chief Marketing Officer of Flowers Foods, a position created in 2017, reflecting the company’s increased brand and consumer focus. In this capacity he leads Flowers’ marketing and branding initiatives and plays a key role in product innovation.
Mukherjee is an accomplished consumer marketer and general manager with 25 years of experience in confection, food, and health/nutrition consumer businesses, most recently as founder and owner of Intacta Consulting Group LLC. Prior to launching Intacta, Mukherjee served from 2011 to 2015 as the CEO of Redco Foods, Inc., a subsidiary of Teekanne GmbH, the largest herbal and flavored tea company in Europe. He also served in marketing roles for such well-known packaged goods companies as Mars Inc., Unilever, H.J. Heinz Co., and The Hershey Co.
Mukherjee earned a bachelor’s degrees in economics and French from Allegheny College and an MBA from Penn State University. He also has completed the Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership in Brussels, Belgium, and the Innovation and Start-Up Management program at the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business Administration. He is proficient in seven languages and is on the board of directors of the International Fund for Animal Welfare, serving as chairman of the organization’s Global Finance & Investment Committee.
